In autumn 2022, between 24 August and 12 October, the roof of the Sticklerhütte was re-covered with larch shingles. During the demolition work, the details of the 50-year-old roof construction came to light. The vapour barrier had to be partially replaced and the insulation between the rafters was completely renewed. A cold front brought snow and the already open roof was covered with tarpaulins. Work began first on the west side to minimise disruption to the guest operations. The new larch shingles come from Zederhaus, i.e. from the region.
